Decisions about the application

cos that’s where i want to go

The weather on the day I visited. It was sunny when I first time visited Cambridge, but cloudy when I visited Oxford
Course applied for:

Cos it’s small

Preparation

yes

A mock interview

If you going to apply to Pembroke, then don’t learn anything about Prolog before you go. Knowing Prolog will not help you. And most importantly, make sure your brain is finely tuned the day before the interview.

Thinking Skill Assessment. Make sure you read the tips and hints, available from the TSA site. It helped me a lot. It tells you how to pick out the main point of each question. Basically, you can get trained.

I got asked a few questions. And got told by the interviewer “… you will have many more interviews in your life, jobs, schools and so on. None of them is going to be easy…” Then I thought “Oh s….”

Subject one is just something on basic programming logic and cutting cake. General one was more about UCAS application.

A pair of trousers, a sweater and some green coloured coat. Keep yourself is definitely the No.1 objective. Forget about the looks and everything, just make sure you don’t go in the interview with a running nose.

Impressions

It’s Cambridge, what else can I say? Pembroke’s back gate’s lock is broken, well somewhat not functioning properly, so I’ve been told.

Old rooms are big. I mean BIG. But, if you got a old room with a blown fuse, then you are in for a cold night. Like I was.

Good

Toast in the morning at Pembroke was a bit brick like, pretty tough.

Good and to some extend a little bit mean. But I forgive them for that.

They were great and very helpful.

Final stage

I screamed the house down. That felt great. Got it on the 31st Dec.

Looking back

Definitely. Whether the interviews were good or bad, the experience of going through such thing is something worth having in one’s life

Got 3 As? Go for it.
