Decisions about the application

its absolutly beautiful, they have very good quality teaching, they have a great status which will be ver useful, it is close to home with good transport links

Closer to home, preferred the course as it was more varied compared with the cambridge one

Very current, useful,

I like sports and this college had an onsight sports field, it was 26acres large with its own lake and was absolutely beautiful! i fell in love with it when i saw it. Its also very near the centre and can accomadate you for all three years, it also is the only college with self catering facillities as well as catered, it also gives you a fridge in your bedroom!:)

Preparation

no

They refused to look at my personal statement, it was all done by me

Its a game of pot luck. know your stuff.. but they generaly dont ask you things you already know… its trying to work out how your mind works

Interview

yes

You cant revise for the TSA but boy do they take it into account.. i got 5As at AS but still didnt even get an interview..

no

no

Impressions

Beautiful!

very large spacious rooms with good kitchn facilities

very friendly

really friendly and down to earth.. not what i was expecting!

Final stage

very panicky and nervous.. i was going over all the things i possibly could have got wrong

I broke down into tears for about 30mins. i was so upset. i didnt even get an interview even though i had 7A*3As at GCSE and 5As at AS level. Nothing prepares you for it. i worked so hard for the off chance i got an interview as i was up to 12 everynight revising for the interview, i went on an interview course and everything, and nothing mattered because i didnt even get an interview. I felt like i just wasnt good enough and i never would be. my school had told me i wouldnt get in and i just felt like a failure

Looking back

yes, only because otherwise i would always be wondering “what if” .. if i could skip the rejection i would, it was the most painful thing ever

its a game of pot luck, even if you have it all it may not be enough.. but good luck to everyone!
