Put the best stuff first, try to “vet” the referee!

Interview

no

no

yes

Yes, a legal practice exam. I don’t study or have any knowledge of the law so I just read and re-read the sample material.

Not going to lie, it was HELL I think that they tried to get the best out of me. I cried buckets afterwards, but it was those of us who had the bad experieces that were offered places and not the over confident ones. Some were called for secondary interviews which we thought at the time was a good sign, but it wasn’t, one of my friends (us interviwees all made friends and keep in touch) had a second & third interview and was rejected. DONT PANIC, BE NATURAL

Only questions on the case study I was given, quite in depth, wanted recall and analysis I think

I went formally as did the other interviewees. Wore smart black trousers and black jacket, just slightly less formal than a suit (although I took one just incase and waited to see what everyone else was wearing)

Impressions

Friendly, relaxed, beautiful

lovely size, fair condition THE NEAREST TOILET WAS MILES AWAY THOUGH!!

Good

Good that you don’t pay up front it goes onto a “key”

A little stern a bit old fashioned but I got the impression they were grandfathers with hearts!!!

Really supportive, people I would be happy and priveledged to spend 3 years of my life with.

Final stage

DEFINITELY

I was very suprised to be offered a place, VERY HAPPY!

Looking back

I tried to come accross as willing to learn, and aware of my limitations particularly academically. I made a joke with the interviewer about my spelling and tried to set a relaxed tone. Dont be over confident, be humble!! How ever bad or awkward it gets (and it might do as they push you harder) stay calm and DON’T CRY INFRONT OF THEM!!

Apply! You have an awful lot to gain and nothing to loose.
