Decisions about the application

Reputation of Maths course. Wanted a challenge (damn sure got one!). Reputation of university.

Preferred the name Cambridge to Oxford. The maths course is also more prestigious.

Was good at Maths at A level. Thought I’d carry on.

Robinson – en suite bathrooms. Was of paramount importance to me! Brother applied before me and said it was great. I didn’t visit.

Preparation

yes

Went through interview-type problems.

45 min test.

Decent. Was good to settle in (I arrived late).

Subject interviews were very mathematically based. No personal questions.

Maths questions.

Suit. Good impression.

Impressions

Didn’t get much of a look at it. Was an in and out job.
Went to Christ’s open day. Thought college was toohardworking for my liking.

Accommodation is great.

Was given a lunch voucher, but the test was scheduled during the lunch hour (!), so didn’t get to eat.
Now that I am here, food is of a high standard.

Friendly.

Odd.

Final stage

Apprehensive but a little confident.

I was the only one at home when the letter arrived. Opened it and rang my parents in London.

Looking back

Not sure.
