Decisions about the application

They are the best uni in the UK

I visited Cambridge before and i hate the city

Close to city centre, ranked middle in the table

Preparation

yes

mock interview, but totally useless.

Interview: read through all your A Level textbook, including those you haven’t cover yet. Read your personal statement, if you have written something like: I have good knowledge in drugs, then they will ask you what do you know about it…. so get prepared.

Interview

no

no

yes

Write them to ask for a specimen paper

I had 2 interviews. Both were not general interviews. They ask about Maths, Chem, Phy, Bio. Really take a book to read because there’s lots of free time.

Maths: prove root 2 is irrational. Physics: if you tie a helium balloon on a car, how is the balloon’s motion as the car is moving, etc. Chemistry: describe a drug/medicine you know and how it functions. Biology: if I have a new medicine, it function well during experiments, but when a patient eats it, it is functionless, why?

suit~ everybody wear suit

Impressions

big rooms, old, traditional. But nice and friendly.

Big room, central heating, enough desk for you to work with, nice cleaning lady, etc

Edible but not great – is it important?

2 of them are very friendly, one of them is not. the older ones are nice!

very helpful and friendly. if you need help, they will 100% help you! they’re hardworking as well
