Decisions about the application

for the name and the location

dunno really- oxford seemed more of a city than cambridge.

erm, had to choose one. knew someone there, rich college

Preparation

yes

but it was utterly useless

be confident, know ur personal statement inside out,

Interview

no

no

yes

didnt prepare- u cant really
v long, lots of q’s not enough time to do them in
everyone found it hard

2 interviews. 2 men at each. one was scientific, and the other moral/ethical ans supposedly non academic

science q’s- having to apply knowledge what would u do if u were a doctor and… (ethical) asked about personal statement

trouser suite- dont like skirts

Impressions

very nice, green and old

big rooms

Edible but not great

but i was told that the food is usually much better

variable- some were friendly and smiley, otheres seemed as if they were wasting their time with u and couldnt wait to get out the interview

pretty down to earth and friendly

Final stage

i knew that i wouldnt get in because i crapped up my interview.

Looking back

perhaps, but id apply to a college where the ratio of applicants to places was lower

go for it, if u get in great, if u dont no big loss. u get a few days off school and i really did enjoy the experience ( except for the interview bit that is)
