Decisions about the application

My friend goes there and it is pleasant. People regularly dress up as rabbits.

Cambridge has too many fields.

I quite like old things.

Preparation

yes

Don’t.

Interview

yes

I took an exam where they asked me about 4th Century kings with imaginative names and how they killed each other. One of them was called Chloderic, and he hit another one in the head with an axe.

yes

When I wrote my submission essay I was a bit bored, so I included some not so subtle jokes about Oliver Cromwell and children. I then forgot to remove them when sending it.

They still gave me an interview, which I thought was incredible.

no

I had 4, and 3 of them were alright. Throughout the fourth, I had absolutely no idea what I or the interviewer was talking about.

“Are there any similarities between Oliver Cromwell and George Washington”
“Define nationalism”
“How does language affect culture”

Clothes.

Impressions

I liked Wadham because it’s big and old and has lovely gardens. I also liked St Catherine’s, because they had central heating.

I had, most probably, the best room in college. It was big and warm and had armchairs. There was also a nice scout who told me about all the famous people who lived in Oxford, so I gave her some jaffa cakes at the end of the weekend.

Alright.

One was adorable, and the other was terrifying.

Nice.

Final stage

Fear.

Looking back

It doesn’t matter if you failed your exams.
